Frappato is the Sicilian red grape, "brother" of Nero d'Avola: light, fruity, fragrant. Together they make up Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG.
Frappato is a native grape of the Vittoria area (south-eastern Sicily). Together with Nero d'Avola it makes up Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG. Vinified on its own it gives light, fresh reds of a pale ruby colour, with intense aromas of rose, cherry, raspberry and strawberry.
