Three reds, three zones, three price points

In this article we will talk about three red wines that have in common only the name and the quality of the product.
All these wines are products I would certainly recommend to anyone on different consumption occasions.
Our excursus will start from the most affordable wine up to the least accessible, moving from south to north.

The first nectar we will discover is from Campania and is produced by the Moio winery in Mondragone. Moio 57 is a historic wine – a 100% primitivo (as is the Falerno Del Massico and all the winery's reds) – with which Roman emperors celebrated their most glorious victories, produced by an equally historic winery that has been in operation since 1880.

Much younger, founded in 1984, is the second winery, located among the hills of the Marche region; it is Velenosi with its Ludi which, as its name suggests, evokes the Latin word for games – a concept that seems to come up time and again when talking about great wine!
Moving a little further up the boot and stopping in Verona, adding a few euros to the price of the previous wine, one ends up talking about an Amarone della Valpolicella produced in 2006 by Cantina di Soave, another historic Italian institution to be proud of, founded in 1898; here too the Roman influence is not absent – the company's website states: "It is a wine of ancient tradition, already praised by poets and writers of the Roman era." Produced in limited quantities, it is a wine substantially very different from the previous ones.
