Verdicchio is the most important white grape of the Marche. It produces two great DOCs: Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC and Verdicchio di Matelica DOC. Wines of a straw colour with greenish reflections, sustained acidity, a profile of bitter almond, green apple and white flowers. Excellent longevity (10-15 years).
