Corvina Veronese

Corvina Veronese is the leading grape of Valpolicella: together with Rondinella and Molinara it makes up Amarone, Recioto, Valpolicella and Ripasso, iconic wines of the Veneto.

Characteristics and history

Corvina Veronese (or Corvinone in its more structured version) is the main grape of Valpolicella. It is the basis of Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG, Valpolicella DOC and Ripasso DOC. It withstands drying excellently, developing concentration and aromatic complexity.
