Characteristics and history

Pecorino (the name linked to the appeal of grazing sheep towards the vineyards) is a native white grape of the Marche and Abruzzo. Almost extinct by the mid-20th century, it was rediscovered and relaunched in the 2000s. It produces structured, aromatic wines (notes of sage, citrus, hay) with sustained acidity.
